Found: the best moisturizer to ever exist

Ah skin care. The one market we all run to in hopes of finding the fountain of youth and promised results. With the plethora of never-ending influencer-endorsed skin care products all claiming to be the best at what they do, and being overwhelming filled with the most confusing and questionable ingredients, it's easy to get lost in this sea of

sameness. As a consumer and someone who has had problematic skin for 10+ years, it's frustrating when I see a product being endorsed by a celebrity or influencer who obviously has access to the best estheticians and can't even contribute their own skins' radiance to the product they're trying to push me to buy. The nerve, right?

But if you've been paying attention to the beauty/skincare industry the last 5 years, you may have noticed an undeniable shift towards clean beauty. But even with these new demands in standards, not everything is as "clean" as you'd expect. So why use a moisturizer that is filled with only a couple of key ingredients and a bunch of other additives, when you can moisturize with something nearly straight from its source? Thus, you need to try jojoba oil.

What is jojoba oil? Jojoba oil is the extract from the seed of the plant Simmondsia Chinensis, which is native to the American Southwest. Native Americans have been benefitting from its' amazing properties for centuries. Interestingly enough, it actually isn't even an oil, it's technically a liquid wax.

So what makes it so great for skin? For starters, it is noncomedogenic, meaning it will not clog your pores. Jojoba oil is unique because it is the only oil that mimics the human sebum our skin naturally produces. Because of its unique qualities, it is great for balancing oil production and acne. If you use it as a moisturizer for oily skin, your body is tricked into thinking it's producing enough oil and will stop the over production of oil, thus balancing your skin. If you suffer from dry skin, jojoba oil will moisturize and hydrate the skin almost immediately because it is absorbed, not evaporate like most water based moisturizers.

I can personally attest to this product's magic. I have been using it since March and noticed a huge improvement in my skin's oil production. It feels so foreign to me to say I have normal/combination skin when I've had oily skin for most of my life.

You won't regret giving this best kept secret a try. The worst that could happen is your fine lines reduce and your skin is well balanced, What is there really to lose? .
